A Guide to Buying a Holiday Home

Now that Christmas and New Year is all but a distant memory, people’s minds are starting to look ahead towards warmer weather and summer holidays and with all the stormy gales and relentless drizzle, we don’t blame them!

There’s been a noticeable uptick in enquiries for our holiday homes because of this so we’ve put together a simple and easy-to-follow guide that outlines what to expect from initial enquiry right through to completion. This will hopefully help those of you who are completely new to holiday home living.

Step 1: Find the right park for you. Obviously, if you’re reading this post you’ve already discovered Berthlwyd Hall Holiday Park (good choice!). Take a look at our homepage video, image gallery and facilities and hopefully you’ll agree that this is a beautiful park brilliantly located 5 minutes from the historic town centre of Conwy, on the doorstep of Snowdonia National Park.

Step 2: Next comes the holiday home itself. At Berthlwyd we have a wide variety of luxury holiday homes readily available to view on park from caravans and lodges, new or pre-owned. We’re confident we have a suitable caravan for every customer regardless of budget. We recommend personally speaking to a member of staff, whether it be over the phone or in person. That way we can answer any questions you may have directly or listen to your requirements and find the holiday home best suited for you. Of course, all of our current holiday homes that are for sale can be found on our website with plot number and pictures.

Step 3: Once you have a rough idea of budget and what you’re looking for in your holiday home, you’ll want to come and see it for yourself. Booking an appointment will give you a chance to come and see the holiday homes in person and reassure yourselves that you’ve found the right one for you. You will also get a tour of all the parks facilities, scenery and proximity to local attractions and amenities.

Step 4: By now you will have seen the park, the area and the holiday homes we have for sale and hopefully you’ve decided that Berthlwyd is the place for you! It is also probable that you’ll have chosen a favourite holiday home and you’re weighing up options.

Step 5: We’re getting into the final stages now! If you’ve decided on a caravan, next comes agreeing on a price with either ourselves if it is a new holiday home or the current owner if it is pre-owned. From there a deposit will be paid and the holiday home will be taken off the market. Once the total amount the is received, a hand-over date for your new holiday home will be arranged.

Step 6: Last but not least… Move in, enjoy your new holiday home and everything that this wonderful part of the world has to offer!
