Berthlwyd Hall Holiday Park closes in response to COVID-19
Berthlwyd Hall Holiday Park - March 23th 2020
Statement on the closure of Berthlwyd
We, along with our park managers and colleagues, have made the most difficult business decision we have had to make. As of 6pm on 23 March, we will close Berthlwyd Hall Holiday Park. The closure will last until the 19th April but this may be subject to change after a review the situation leading up to this date.
The Government has advised against all non-essential travel in an attempt slow the spread of COVID-19 across the country and save lives. The number of occupied holiday homes across our parks last weekend was in excess of what expected, as was the unprecedented influx of tourists in North Wales, as seen on the national news.
There is also considerable local concern, championed by local and national politicians, the local authority and, arguably most importantly, our local health care workers. They are concerned that a considerable influx in the local population will put our local NHS services under even greater pressure.
We love what we do and take great pleasure and pride in playing such an important role in our patrons lives and memories. We are also very aware that you, our customers, provide us and our employees with an income and which in turn provides great support to the local economy.
However, we hope you'll agree that now is the time to pull together and do the right thing. We need to help save lives and hopefully bring this epidemic under control as soon as possible.
We hope you, our holiday home owners, will understand this very difficult decision. We look forward to the day we can open our doors once again and welcome each and everyone of our owners back.
In the meantime, please look after each other and stay safe.
From all the team at St David’s Leisure.
