Coed Helen closes in response to COVID-19
Coed Helen Holiday Park - March 23th 2020
Statement on closure of Coed Helen
We, St. David's Leisure, have made the most difficult decision we have had to make as a business. As of 6pm on 23 March, we will close Coed Helen. The closure will last until the 19th April. We will review the situation after this date.
The Government is advising against all non-essential travel in an attempt slow the spread of COVID-19. The number of occupied holiday homes across our parks last weekend was in excess of what expected.
There is also considerable local concern, shared by local and national politicians, the local authority and our local health care workers. They are concerned about an influx in the local population that will put our local NHS services under more pressure.
We love what we do and we are also very aware that you, our customers, provide us and our employees with an income and this provides great support to the local economy.
However, now is the time to pull together and do the right thing to help save lives and hopefully bring this epidemic under control as quickly as possible.
We hope you, our holiday home owners and patrons, will understand this very difficult decision. We look forward to the day we can open our doors again and welcome you back. In the meantime, please look after each other and stay safe.
From all the team at St David’s Leisure.
