Consider these points when purchasing a holiday home...
Berthlwyd Hall Holiday Park - February 26th 2020
Buying a holiday home can be quite a daunting task. But fear not, below we've given you some points to consider when buying your dream caravan or lodge.
Prioritise location
We recommend finding the right location first, park second, and holiday home third. You've obviously found North Wales and we can say is good choice! Berthlwyd, with it's location right next to Conwy town centre and Snowdonia is pretty perfect by anyone's standards.
Before buying, think about the activities and attractions nearby and match it to you own needs, restaurants and good pubs, or attractions and activities for children.
Crucial to this is also want finding a park that is easy for you to get to. We are easily reachable from the North-West via the a55. It will take you around 60 minutes from Chester and 90 minutes from Manchester.
How often will you use your holiday home?
This sounds obvious but you might want to think about how much usage you expect to get out of your holiday home. Some parks have limited licence periods. This means that there may be months when the park is closed and owners cannot stay in their caravans or lodges.
Berthlwyd is lucky to boast a long season, running from 1st March to mid-January.
Ongoing costs
Many prospective buyers have an idea of budget when purchasing a caravan but you'll need to know how much it will cost you after purchase. You'll need to think about:
- Gas
- Site fees
- electric
- Local Council Rates
- Insurance
