If you fancy stretching your legs, here is one of the walks featured in the annual Conwy Walking Week festival. A short walk around Llandudno.
To soak up the natural splendour of the Orme, this four mile, circular walk around the spectacular limestone headland is hard to beat. It combines stunning views of the Liverpool Bay and the Menai Straits with close up encounters with the indigenous flora and fauna, notably birdlife and butterflies. Afterwards catch the tram or cable car into Llandudno.
Farmers markets are held in Conwy at the RSPB Nature reserve on the last Wednesday of each month.
In any country, locals appreciate the effort made to learn a few basic words of their language. The Welsh are no different – here are a few words and basic pronunciations to get you by:
Bore Da (Bore-ray-dah) - Good Morning
Nos Na (Noss Dah) - Good Night
Diolch (Dee-olch) - Thank you
Cwrw (coo-roo) - Beer
Gwin (Gween) - Wine
Hwyl (Hoo-il) - Goodbye
