Dinas dinlle beach: what you need to know
Coed Helen Holiday Park - May 30th 2020
Located just 6 miles from Coed Helen Holiday Park is Dinas Dinlle beach. It is easily reachable by car and is a popular destination on hot Summer days.
The beach boasts a beautiful setting. To the East the mountain peaks of Snowdonia serve as the backdrop and looking North you can see the Isle of Anglesey.
There is long promenade that runs along the back of the beach which provides easy access, particularly for disabled visitors.
The area is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest because it is a vital habitat for birds and wildlife. Parts of the land surrounding the beach is a nature reserve and is managed and maintained by the RSPB . Particularly important in the area is the nesting spots for lapwings which serve as breeding grounds for the birds.
Not just for bird watchers and environmentalists, Dinas Dinlle is also of significance for archaeologists and historians. This is thanks to a Iron Age remains that are located to the south of the beach.
But back to tourists and visitors, you'll be pleased to know that there are shops and cafes located nearby.
