There are so many great summer events taking place only a short drive from our five star holiday park. The famous seaside towns of Llandudno and Conwy are only a stone’s throw away and there is always entertainment on hand in these great coastal tourist destinations.
Events in Llandudno
Llandudno Jazz Festival – 24th July – 26th July
If you love music then this great new addition to the Llandudno annual roster could be the event for you. This new epic celebration of music brings 40 of the best jazz performers in the UK to Llandudno for a whole weekend of performances and jazz themed events. The main stage and jazz gardens are found at Bodafon Farm while fringe events will be held all over the town including jazz on the promenade, jazz on the Pier, jazz on the bandstand and Jazz events at Venue Cymru.
Inspire 2015 Llandudno – 7th Aug
This is a great new satellite event of Venue Cymru’s Take Part Weekend. It is a perfect event to take the kids along to with Punch & Judy, circus skills, magic shows, Victorian-style pictures and more.
Archery: Welsh Open Championships and Welsh Inter-County Championships – 29th Aug – 30th Aug
This is the Inter-County match for the Welsh Archery Association and will feature some of the very best archers in Wales. This year’s competition is a UK Record Status event.
Goldwing Light Parade – 5th Sept
One of Llandudno’s most colourful events, the Goldwing Light Parade brings a large crowd of Goldwing motorcycle riders to Llandudno to display their stunning bikes. There will be a static display on the promenade during the day but at night the fun really begins with the light parade and the riders decorate their bikes with all sorts of LEDs and travel through the town together.
Llandudno Arts Weekend – 18th – 20th Sept
The Arts Weekend or LAWN as it is also known is back for 2015. This amazing micro festival celebrates Llandudno’s hidden history in a unique way, through the medium of art. There are all sorts of traditional and contemporary art displays featured throughout the town from mini plays and videos to sculptures and more.
Events in Conwy
RSPB 20th Anniversary – 25th July – 26th July
The RSPB Reserve in Conwy attracts tourists and locals alike all year round to watch the various breeds of birds that have made it their home. The gorgeous landscape and wildlife is a joy for all and this year is the 20th Anniversary of the RSPB so they will be honouring the occasion with a collection of activities to celebrate giving nature a home.
Inspire 2015 Conwy – 2nd August
Conwy is also hosting its very own Inspire event in association with Take Part Weekend from Venue Cymru. There will be storytelling, spinning, medieval games, birds of prey, the Conwy Wizard, Erwyd Le Fol the Conwy Jester and knights!
Conwy River Festival – 16th Aug – 23 Aug 2015
A fabulous day of stalls and water sports to celebrate the connection between the town of Conwy and its beautiful estuary.
With all these great events taking place you will never be short of entertainment when you visit Berthlwyd Holiday Park near Llandudno.
