Exciting Developments at Coed Helen Holiday Park for 2016!

It has been a very exciting off-season here at Coed Helen Holiday Park with many exciting developments that everyone here has been busy working on – developments to be enjoyed, not only by our holiday home owners and tourers, but the general public as well.  As a result, we are confident 2016 will be our best year yet!

Chief among the changes here at Coed Helen Holiday Park is the development of a brand new restaurant and bar, which after much deliberation, has been named “Molly’s” and will open on March 19th. The name comes from Steve, our park’s owner, who decided to proudly name it after his mother. The restaurant is located just five minutes’ walk from the Caernarfon town centre so is perfectly situated for people to visit after enjoying  the castle and the various other attractions the historic town has to offer.  From our location you will be able to enjoy arresting views of the Menai Straight and there is a new adjoining seating area outside. To make for a friendly and sociable atmosphere, the new bar directly links with the restaurant, with a separate adjoining room that houses a large flat screen television for sports fans.  Please find a sample of our projected menu below, which may be subject to change.

The old Manor House is also in the process of being renovated and is due to be completed by the end of April as the old building is proving a challenge! A new reception will be located where Paddy’s bar was in the past. Here, there will also be brand new office space for our sales and administration teams. On the ground floor, you will be able to make use of a new convenience shop selling the essentials necessary for your stay. Next door to this will be a gym, available exclusively for our holiday home owners, where there will be brand new equipment for you to work off any indulgence that may occur in the new restaurant! There will also be a brand new playroom for children on this level, further enabling you to relax whilst the children are enjoying themselves – regardless of the weather. The manor house will also house a new laundrette facility.

We are also making significant improvements to the parks security with the introduction of security barriers which will be operational around Easter time. We propose to issue two number cards to each holiday home, and as the cards are expensive there will be a charge for replacements – so please look after them! The cards will be issued in due course along with further details. They will also be used for accessing the pool area and new gym once it is open. In addition to the security barrier and cards, a new CCTV system has been installed around the park’s access points and main facilities. Road Improvements have also occurred with further road kerbing and tarmacadam resurfacing.

Behind the scenes we have installed a new park-wide Wi-Fi system and renewed all of the hardware onsite, as well as adding additional lines to improve the broadband speed. The previous arrangement will remain unchanged with each holiday home allowed two free devices on the network initially. Once we’ve ensured all is working well, we may allow owners to purchase further access for additional devices after a trial period. We kindly remind holiday home owners that there will be a limit to usage and we ask that customers use the facility for web browsing and emails only, avoiding live streaming and activity which would involve downloading large amounts of data. The new Wi-Fi system will be operational from March 1st.
