Berthlwyd Hall Holiday Park - May 30th 2020
Nicknamed the "Queen of the Welsh resorts" thousands of visitors from all across the United Kingdom and further afield travel to Llandudno every year but holiday home owners and visitors of Berthlwyd Hall Holiday Park and Conwy benefit from being just a short drive away.
In Llandudno you will find a whole host of fun activities to do with all the family that won't break the bank. Here is a list of some of our favourites.
The Great Orme Tramway
This is a great activity for all ages. Starting from Victoria Station at the foot of the Great Orme which is conveniently located near to the town\s pier and town centre, the tramway has been operational for over 100 years, since opening in 1902.
The tram travels over 1 mile to the summit of the Great Orme where there is a visitor centre, playground, and arcade. This is a unique way of taking the journey, and is much more stress-free than driving as it allows you to take in the gorgeous scenery which includes stunning sea view, wildlife such as the famous goats, and the ancient copper mines.
Walk down Llandudno's pier
The historic Llandudno pier is a grade II listed attraction conveniently located just a short walk from the high street.
The pier was originally built in 1858 at a length of 242 feet but is now nearly 10 times its original length at 2295. The pier is home to a number of Victorian themed fun with ice cream shops, rides for children, and arcades.
Shopping in Llandudno
Llandudno is a bustling town centre with a busy high street with a good mixture of well-known national retailers and local shops too. On the high street there is also the Victoria centre a small but busy shopping arcade with some great local shops.
Just a short walk from the high street is Parc Llandudno, a retail park with leading retailers such as Debenhams, River Island, Next, Topshop and Topman to name a few.
There is also Mostyn Champneys, a little further afield but still within walking distance to the the town centre. This is a larger retail park with household shops like Sports Direct, Argos, Curry's PC World, Smyth's, and many more.
