St. David's Park closes in response to COVID-19
St. David's Park - March 23th 2020
Statement on closure of St. David's Park
We have reached the most difficult decision we have ever had to make as a business. As of 6pm on 23 March, we will close St. David's Park. Initiall the closure will last until the 19th April. We will review the situation after this date.
The Government has advised against all non-essential travel to slow the spread of the virus. However, the number of occupied holiday homes across our parks this weekend were far in excess of what we had expected.
There is considerable local concern, supported by local and national politicians, the local authority and most importantly our local health care workers. They are concerned about the swelling of the population that will put our local NHS services under increased pressure.
We love what we do and take great pleasure in making your holidays as enjoyable and memorable as possible. We are also very aware that you, our customers, provide us and our employees with an income and this provides great support to the local economy.
However, we feel now is the time to pull together and do the right thing to help save lives and bring this epidemic under control as soon as possible.
We hope our holiday home owners will understand this difficult decision. We look forward to the day we can open our doors and welcome everyone back. In the meantime please look after each other and stay safe.
From all the team at St David’s Leisure.
