The St. David's Park guide to lodges
St. David's Park - March 27th 2019
Lodges are highly sought after on St. David's Park and with much of our new stock on developments like The View and our front row now sold, plus the fact that there is currently a couple of pre-owned lodges also for sale (they don't come around often!), we thought we would give you a quick run through of what a lodge is and that owning one entails.
What is a lodge?
A lodge is often referred to as a 'chalet' and is the most spacious option available to holiday park homes. Whereas a typical caravan is anywhere from 10ft - 14ft wide, luxury lodges on St. David's Park can be twice this. An additional feature of lodges is also a pitched roof which contributes to a great sense of space and light.
Thanks to having twice the footprint of some caravans, often lodges can also boast larger outdoor space such as decking. The option of having more glass, such as completely glazed walls and/or French windows leading onto decking is also possible.
Many reading this may wonder how a lodge that is 20ft wide can still be classed as a 'mobile' home, and placed on a holiday park such as St. David's Park. Well, when a lodge is manufactured and delivered it is split into two halves. This makes transportation possible and situating the lodge easy. The lodge is then expertly joined together and factors such as the pitched roof and clever interior designs such as beams or ceiling designs making it unnoticeable.
