What’s On Spring 2016 – Berthlwyd Holiday Park
Berthlwyd Hall Holiday Park - March 29th 2016
Berthlwyd Hall Holiday Park is situated just 2 minutes from the castle walls of Conwy, towards the Conwy Valley. This means you have the sensation of being secluded and benefit from mesmerising country views, yet be only a couple of minutes from all that goes on in the town and surrounding area. Here is our pick of what’s going on over the next month – see you there!
1st April – Conwy Seed Fayre, Conwy Town Centre
The Royal Charter Fair has been organised in Conwy for the last 700 and was founded by Edward I. The Seed Fair and the Honey Fair have grown into major events over the last couple of years, attracting large crowds – so much so that the event had to be changed from its usual date of March 26th to avoid congestion in Conwy. There will be stalls selling plants, seeds, local honey, local crafts and lots of home produce.
16th – 17th April – Colwyn Bay Forties Festival, Colwyn Bay Town Centre
This has become another mainstay in the local events calendar as it goes continues to go from strength to strength and returns for its fifth year. Visitors can expect to enjoy iconic and timeless displays and entertainment relating to the period, including a replica military plane, period vehicles, weapons display, and even appearances from ‘Winston Churchill’ and ‘General Montgomery’! Music of the 1940s has become synonymous with the festival, and this year will be no different with singers including George Formby, Lilli De Carlo, and the Llandudno Swing Band.
There is also the Ballroom Blitz Dance – a 1940’s style dance held on Saturday evening at Parc Eirias, with dress and live music of the era. Search online for details regarding the dance.
30th April – 2nd May – Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza, Llandudno Town Centre
The Victorian Extravaganza in Llandudno is one of the busiest events in the calendar for the local area, with people travelling far and wide to join in the fun. Over the weekend loads of displays and events relating to the Victorian period can be enjoyed from fairground rides, fancy dress, cars and steam engines, magic shows, live music. There is also loads of food stalls and local food produce. To be honest, there is so much going on over the weekend, it is best if you come down and see it for yourself!
